He never played football growing up. Now, Chris Manhertz is entering his eighth NFL season. He explains to the Go Long Podcast how he has pulled it off.
You just don't hear stories like this one. Chris Manhertz played Division I basketball at Canisius in Buffalo, NY but never a lick of football until connecting with our own, Jim Monos. One workout in Williamsville, NY led to a opportunity with the Bills and the rest is history. From New Orleans to Carolina to, now, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Manhertz has stayed in the NFL for nearly a decade... despite never playing one down before the pros.
How? He chats with the guys about it all.
Manhertz found a way to survive in a league that chews up and spits out players all the time.
